Adventist Cruise
The Adventist Cruise is over for this year - stay tuned for our plans for next year, however save the date as it will be held on labor day weekend in 2012.
The Anacortes Adventist Fellowship is again sponsoring an informal "cruise" this summer for boaters with Adventist connections. This is our current plan for 2012:
WHAT: Cruising, fun & fellowship with fellow Adventist boaters
WHEN: August 31 to September 3, 2012
WHERE: San Juan Islands
The current cruise itinerary starts in Anacortes Friday August 31 when participants depart for Friday Harbor on San Juan Island (~20nm) and tie up at the dock. Advance reservations are recommended but not required. After church in Friday Harbor on Saturday at the Adventist Church the flotilla will travel to Prevost Harbor (Stuart Island) (~15nm) and raft up. On Sunday the group will travel to Echo Bay (Sucia Island) (~15nm) and do some hiking & exploring. On Monday the group will return to Anacortes (~22nm).
Participating vessels can join/leave the group as they wish and are responsible for their own moorage in Friday Harbor. You can download a detailed itinerary of the 2011 cruise HERE - the 2012 cruise will be published in the spring of 2012 and incorporate any last minute changes.
In order to participate you will need your own boat or you will need to charter one. Please contact us for additional information about chartering boats. The entire cruise will be in protected waters with several experienced local boats participating. While there are no fees to participate (other than moorage in Friday Harbor), we would like to know if you are planning to participate.
