Adventist Cruise
The Anacortes Adventist Fellowship is again sponsoring an informal "cruise" this summer for boaters with Adventist connections. This is our current plan for 2010:
WHAT: Cruising, fun & fellowship with fellow Adventist boaters
WHEN: August 12-15, 2010
WHERE: San Juan Islands, Gulf Islands, Buchart Gardens
The Cruise starts in Anacortes Wednesday night August 12 with a welcome reception. On Thursday participatants will depart Anacortes for Deer Harbor on Orcas Island (~20nm) and tie up at the dock. On Friday the flotilla will travel to Poets Cove (Bedwell Harbor) (~15nm), clear customs and tie up on the float adjacent to the dock. There will be vespers Friday night on the dock. On Saturday morning there will be a brief church service then the flotilla will depart for Todd Inlet (~20nm). Saturday night the flotilla will enjoy garden fireworks at Buchart Gardens. On Sunday the group will return to Anacortes (~45nm) or those who wish can stay and play.
In order to participate you will need your own boat or you will need to charter one. Please contact the cruise captains for additional information about chartering boats. The entire cruise will be in protected waters and will be led by a licensed USCG master mariner. There are no fees to participate (other than moorage & entry fees to Buchart Gardens), but we would like to know you are coming.
