Our Beliefs
The Anacortes Adventist Fellowship is a group of like-minded Christian believers who have a sincere desire to provide an irrestistible Adventist worship experience to the local community. In doing so we do things differently from many of the other churches in the area....
We desire to create a spiritually compelling, nurturing, challenging, growing community-focused organization, as distinct from an insular, cliqueish church.
We choose to be guided by the Holy Spirit in all of our decision-making; recognizing that God is the head of the church.
We desire prayer and bible study to be at the foundation of what we do.
We desire to share the simple gospel truth of righteousness by faith in as clear and accessible way possible. We ask to have revealed to us the most effective and meaningful means to bringing God to those who don't know Him yet.
We desire to create a church we would feel comfortable, if not excited, to invite our friends, coworkers and clients to; where no prejudice or judgment precludes anyone from attending.
We desire a church with an active music ministry. We want to be open to new songs and contemporary styles, as well as familiar old favorites that best meet the tastes of those we are reaching.
We believe converted Christians need to be in a church environment that supports local outreach ministry, as well as distance ministry work.
We believe in doing spiritual gifts assessment, to view every member as a specialized minister in their own style and method. As a member we each have a responsibility to be in ministry.
We believe in small group study and ministry and that all members should strive to be a part of a small group.
